Upcoming College and University Information Sessions Information sessions are a great way to hear about the abundance of programs and support services offered by post-secondary institutions. Colleges and universities have frequent information sessions; both general and program-specific. This is a sampling of some that have come across my desk of late. Please contact me any time for help finding a session at a school you are considering. The time is ripe for Grade 11's in particular to begin gathering information. April 10-11, 2010 (Saturday and Sunday). April 10 will be a Speaker's Day bringing together some of the creative leaders responsible for today's most important and innovative games, from Mass Effect 2 to ModNation Racers. Tickets for the day are $75.00 plus applicable fees. Broadway. vcc.ca Experience UVic registration is open (Saturday, May 29, 2010) UVic will be hosting Experience UVic again on May 29, an open house for prospective grade 11 and 12 students and their families to visit campus and test drive the UVic student experience. This annual program includes campus tours, hands-on faculty experiences, course registration help and opportunities to connect with current students, staff and faculty members. There are two registration options again this year: Experience UVic, a day-long event designed to help your students decide if UVic is the right fit for their post-secondary education, and Destination UVic, a two-day program offered by UVic's Residence Life office that includes all the activities of Experience UVic plus two nights accommodation on-campus to test drive the food and programming in residence.
