On Tuesday I went to a soup kitchen with the Community Service club. When the thought of going to a soup kitchen first went through my head, I pictured feeding rude, unappreciative, ungrateful people. But when we actually went there, I was proven wrong because almost every person said ''please'' and ''thank you.'' The people we served were generally appreciative and friendly even though they looked intimidating. I definitely learned a huge lesson that day about judging people by how they look or how they live. I would definitely go back to the soup kitchen to help again, because it was such an amazing experience. This experience will always be something that I keep in mind, and I will always be grateful for what I have, and make a bigger effort to help people that are less fortunate. –– Julia
On Tuesday we went to the soup kitchen. We had to feed the homeless. At first my thought of the soup kitchen was that it might have been not too clean, but it really was. We first made the sandwiches; they were peanut butter, tuna and salmon. Then we went to serve them. They were really nice and they all were saying thank you and have a nice day. Some of the homeless were a little picky. Like I want white bread or can I have whole wheat. Some of them kept on coming back for more. One came back five times!!! I loved going to the soup kitchen. I will never forget it. –– Zoe
