Technology Education 11/12- Carpentry and Joinery: Students produce one individual project and collectively build one Electric Go Kart. All projects are organized to reflect the main areas of carpentry and joinery such as:
The Electric Go Kart includes basic metalwork applications such as welding and metal fabrication.
Animation: Students learn the techniques of 2D and 3D animation, then script, storyboard and create their own original animations on computer.
Computers: Computer technology is a key part of Fraser Academy's curriculum. The school is home to four computer labs; we also provide laptops for in-class use to high school students. Students build their computer and keyboarding skills, study webpage design and use, computer systems, networking and programming, as well as multimedia development. Furthermore, students learn about the skills and processes involved in designing puzzles, shooters, RPGs and others. They also create arcade games.
Digital Audio and Music Production: Students learn how to use digital sound-recording software to prepare for further study of multimedia, film and audio production at the post-secondary level.
Digital Video: Students script, storyboard, shoot and edit their own original videos. Projects include mock commercials, mini documentaries and dramatic productions.
Home Ec: Students learn about nutrition, menu planning, baking and cooking, and achieve a food safety certificate.
