In addition to academic classes and one-to-one with an Orton-Gillingham-trained tutor, all Fraser Academy elementary school students enjoy a host of electives.

Grades 1-5
All students have a block of PE each day. They take music and drama on one day of our two-day rotation. Other electives, such as art, are done with the classroom teacher.  

Grade 6
All students take art, music, tech ed and info tech on one day of our two-day rotation. They have one block of PE each day.

Grade 7
Students take a one-term double-block of home ec, tech ed and info tech every other day. They have a double-block of PE every other day for the full year. And students select two of three electives—art, music, drama—which they have for the full year on alternating days. Grade 7 students also participate in Outdoor Education Days, where they experience such activities as sailing, kayaking, cycling, indoor rock-climbing, swimming and hiking.
