Ages: 6-12 | Grades: 1-7

The goal of Fraser Academy is to empower students with language-based learning disabilities, including dyslexia, to reach their academic potential and to equip them for future success.

Our education reflects this. While we follow the BC curriculum, teachers encourage a multisensory approach to learning rather than the usual reliance on just reading and writing.

Fraser Academy students often come to us from “regular” public or independent schools—environments in which they struggled because their potential went unrecognized and their needs unmet.

Many students are wary of attempting challenging tasks when they first arrive here, having experienced failure all too often in the past. Many have also become disengaged learners, and they must relearn that they are capable of successfully engaging in academics.

Teachers and tutors work closely with students to re-establish this connection between effort and positive results.
