A host of electives round out the Fraser Academy Sr School students’ academic classes and a daily one-to-one lesson with a certified OG tutor

In this vigorous course, students engage in activities to develop critical-thinking skills, including analysis, synthesis, extrapolation, evaluation, cooperation and collaboration.
Themes and topics include anthropology, current events, societal issues, volunteerism, science, ecology and the environment, as well as design and art.
Students actively delve into dramatic forms and techniques using their own ideas as well as instructor-selected sources.
Students learn about nutrition, menu planning, baking and cooking, and achieve a food safety certificate.
Students are required to apply to Fraser Academy’s Leadership Program.
The courses focus on students developing and practicing lifelong leadership skills, including decision-making, communicating, community service and teamwork.
The students are challenged in this program to make a difference in the world.
Our rock-based music program is particularly popular among students, who perform songs on guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards and with vocals, as well as learn about composition, recording and the music industry.
The school is home to two music studios, both with digital recording setups.
Students explore art and creativity through the taking and printing of both digital and film photos.
They also learn to use Adobe Creative Suite® to enhance their digital images.
We live in a digital world, and these courses are designed to help students understand and competently maneuver their way round this complex universe.

Students learn to build using wood and metal in these courses.
Depending on the grade and level of expertise, students learn everything from how to use woodworking hand and power tools to interpreting orthographic drawings to creating complex projects from scratch reflecting the main areas of carpentry and joinery.
Students create a variety of works in different media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed-media/multimedia, ceramics and printmaking.
Many of our students take part in an annual juried exhibition at a local art gallery.
